Join other teen writing enthusiasts for a FREE Creative Writing Workshop presented by Lone Star College Professor and published author, Melissa Studdard. Learn techniques for good writing and tips for pushing through a long project.

Bring a notebook and pen, and any piece of writing that you have been work-ing on (*up to 5 pages—NOT required).

Pizza will be served at 12:30 pm and the workshop will be from 1-4 pm.

This month we are reading books about disasters: natural and man-made. This includes sinking ships, hurricanes, fires, volcanoes, epidemics, and post-war fallout.  I will be posting about several different titles in the blog.  Post in the discussion area about what you thought about the books.  Or feel free to pick a title of your own to share with others.

Creative Writing Workshop for Teens

Join other teen writing enthusiasts for a free Creative Writing Workshop presented by Lone Star College professor and published author, Melissa Studdard.  Learn techniques for good writing, working with elements such as dialogue, narrative, figurative language, and description.

Bring a notebook and pen, and any piece of writing you have been working on (up to 5 pages—*not required).

Pizza will be served at 12:30 pm.  The workshop will begin at 1:00 pm and run until 4:00 pm.
